Combine search with filters to quickly find exactly what you need.
Available filters
| Filter | Options |

| Collection | Limit search to a specific collection |
| Date range | Filter by publication date or upload date |
| Author | Filter by author name |
| Status | Ready, Processing, Failed |
| Has notes | Only show documents with attached notes |
| File type | PDF, DOCX, TXT |
Using filters
- Open the full search view (click Search in the sidebar)
- Click Filters to expand the filter panel
- Select your criteria
- Combine with a keyword search for precise results
Combining filters
Filters stack, so selecting multiple filters narrows your results. For example:
- Collection: “Climate Research” + Date: 2024–2026 → Shows only recent climate papers
- Author: “Smith” + Has notes: Yes → Shows papers by Smith that you’ve annotated
Tips
- Start broad, then narrow: begin with a keyword search, then apply filters to focus your results
- Collection + date is a powerful combo for literature reviews
- Status filter helps you find documents still being processed or that encountered errors
